Providing quality professionals for both the hospitality industry and the home
Kibondeni College of Catering and Hospitality trains young women in Nairobi for careers in hotels, restaurants and homes. Kianda Foundation founded it in 1961 as an in-house catering school. It began issuing certificates in 1969 and is now managed by Nurisha Trust.
Students choose from Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping Operations and Laundry Management.
All courses are NITA-accredited, with placements in partner hotels built into every program.
In 2026, Kibondeni graduates completed six-month attachments at Hyatt Regency Westlands through the LEAP program, students trained with Puratos Kenya's pastry chefs, and M-PESA Foundation funded upgraded kitchen and laundry facilities, handed over on 17 September 2026.
Kibondeni is on Ewaso Ngiro Road, off Waiyaki Way, Nairobi.
