Kibondeni College Introduces Greening TVET Initiative


On June 2, 2023, Kibondeni College of Catering and Hospitality Management embraced an exciting new vision focused on the greening of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. Thanks to the invaluable support from ACTEC ONG, Limmat Stiftung, and Safaricom Foundation, we proudly presented the Kibondeni Sustainable Greening TVET initiative to our esteemed partners and stakeholders. This groundbreaking project is a collaborative effort between Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Best.Energy, and Kibondeni College, aimed at leveraging technology, industry expertise, and TVET linkages to drive the dual transition of digitalization and sustainability within the TVET sector.


A Momentous Occasion

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Gladys Ng'weno and the Agile team from Safaricom Foundation, who actively participated in the proceedings. Additionally, James Mumanyi, representing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) Kenya, joined us for this momentous occasion. In the spirit of unity and shared commitment, Gladys Ng'weno and Priscilla Kerebi from the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) joined us in planting a commemorative tree, symbolizing our collective dedication to sustainability and collaboration.
